1977 - 1978 wiper system the same?

Guys, I’ve been looking for a switch/governor set up for my ‘77 Town Coupe. Look like a fellow from CA is parting out a ‘78 Coupe. We all know the dashboards are totally different, but are the “innards” of the intermittent systems the same? Thanks for all replies.

I think so, John. The switch is the same. Don't know what else is, but you should get that intermittent inline harness, too.

The switch is base PN 17A553.

For 1973 to 1979, part number is D8LY-17A553-B or Motorcraft SW-1479
Same for Continentals and Marks.

The A version is without Intermittent.
