Re: 64 Jigsaw project
To the best of my knowledge, no gold paint, but perhaps the rebuilder did that.
From what I gather online, the rebuild company was once called Automotive Engineering, and is now AER, I think.

Thanks Lee, appreciate your research.
Got the motor painted today. Use an 2 pack epoxy primer and a 2 pack topcoat . Left overs from another resto

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Am starting to make new brake lines. Did a search on this forum and found heaps of great info. I am staying with drums all round so looks like I only have to add a 10lb relief valve into the front line. Bonus is I can buy one here in NZ.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Cheers Lee, Happy new year to you too. Last day of 2023 and weather out is overcast so will get in the garage. Got a 70s party to go to tonight so better not get to dirty today.
Often wonder if I have spent to much time cleaning and painting car parts . Reality is they will hardly ever be seen. Makes me happy so it is what it is.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
No wardrobe items from me, hated that scene then, and 50 years on, disco still sucks! But if it was a blues based, heavy metal theme, then I'm in.

Photo to come. I do like disco, blues too. Heavy metal not so much but won’t hold that against you.
I don’t drink so head was clean this morning just had big sleep in.

Next issue.
Can not find the adjustment hardware for my brakes
Decided to fit shoes to see if they fit. Bugger me if I didn’t miss the fact they are missing the holes for the bottom spring. 2 steps forward and 3 back. Will make precise measurements and drill. Bugger.

Tony, hold up a bit on drilling that hole. That small hole in the shoes you removed doesn’t look right to me. I’ll get back to you.TONY NZ 64 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 31, 2023 10:57 pm Next issue.
