Re: 64 Jigsaw project
That offer of free brake hardware still stands, I really don't need all that stuff.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Morning team,
Thanks for your rapid response.
Thanks Lee, red plastic for warning light and blue for high beam.
Cheers Fraser, I will measure my remaining adjusters and post on here. Will set up brakes as you say.

Cheers for the offer Fraser. I must hunt out the mopar shoe springs I have. I definitely need one.
My adjusters are not as long as yours

I should pull my wheels to at least see how the parts compare to Frasers stuff. I'm not sure what my adjusters are, if the springs are right.

I'm starting to get adjuster envy.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Just found some mopar adjusters and springs, they bit smaller. Must be true what they say about Ford owners.
Hopefully when I get the car on the road I will see some Ford Bounce.
Got frost plugs in yesterday . The 2 rear ones that go in the head were a shade loose. We put them in a press and gave them a tweak. Were 34.35 and came out at 34.80 which was perfect for the 34.40 hole. Put them all in with some sealer. I had not noticed until we went to put the side block ones in that the middle holes ha a thinner lip, we didn't knock those 2 in as far.
I now moving on to replacing the vacuum lines in the engine bay. Am going to be asking for any photos . I have looked at the manual and it ok but not great. Think I can figure out the small colour tagged hoses, larger ones maybe not. They were cut/broken/ not attached when I got the car. I will post photos of what I got.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Good news, I was looking at the first diagram in the manual and I should have been looking at the 2nd one as I have an air con car. Had more hoses.
Got all the smaller lines replaced. will have to purchase some larger hose.
Big question now is which hose goes on which nipple of the fire wall box. I can see the different colour lines from the inside of the car BUT inside connector has a 90 deg bend so doesn't help.
ASSUME I will have to carefully remover inside connector. Take lots of photos

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
1st photo- anyone know or got photo/diagram of which colour hoses go where ?
2nd photo- 2 joins that are not on the manual diagram. Left one has 4 outlets, 1 small 3 large. Looks like the brown marked tube might go on it and then there is 2 tubes that come out of firewall ( top left of brake booster, 3rd photo) that join ??
The connector on the right of the photo has 4 large outlets. The one with the yellow pencil ( came this way) comes from the reservoir tank. Am at a loss where other hoses go ? Manifold tree ??
3rd photo - firewall hole
4th photo- Got some red Perspex to make tab to cover handbrake light hole.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Coloured Perspex worked out great. Cut some sticky backed foam to make new gasket

Here’s the vacuum hose block. The whole manual is available online at Lincoln Land.

Re: 64 Jigsaw project
Thanks Ford engineer who decided to colour make the firewall block. Just removed block and very happy to see lots of colour.. firewall side of block very dirty which is understandable. I didn’t think to clean it up in place. Will take photo for reference for me and others to view
