Spent an hour getting the vacuum lines hooked up to inside control unit. Not much space for large hands.

Got instrument panel in.

When vacuum block was pushed through the firewall I could not see the colours because the black sealer was in the way

With interior vacuum lines sorted , under dash wiring in great condition, and steering column in, I decided to trial fit the lower dash panel. Fits nice, got 2 small areas to dolly the edge, but happy enough. It needs a repaint. I didn’t realise the it, was a vinyl over steel. No using sandpaper..
I must get on with fitting the weather strip on the stainless trim that runs along outside of the door glass opening on the top of the doors . Would love a photo of this area please. I see how it works, the rubber weather strip sits in the v groove of the trim and then the trim is secured to the glass opening by rivets or screws.
Question is, how high in the v groove does the rubber strip sit. Only want to do this job once.

The lower dash panel, glovebox etc needed a repaint. Did that yesterday. Colour match is close, you won’t notice the difference due to the different angle. Am thinking of repainting the top dash pad as it does have some small marks that would show if I tried to touch up. Have to pull windshield soon as there are no trim clip posts or holes. Might be able to mask the dash off and use a small touch up gun, maybe.

Was keen to get the lower dash in but will leave it until i get the car running as I might have wiring or vacuum issues.
Got some new bulbs for instrument panel, have put them in.
Got on with the rear driver door belt sweep, watched 2 Nathen Wilson video clips. Thought i had to rivet the trim on but 64's used screws. Greased the tracks and got the glass in too. Before I do the rear passenger I needed to remove 2 small dents from the trim. Took my time and hammered , filed and sanded them out. Just need to got through the high sandpaper grades and then polish wheel.

Been busy dam it so not much Lincoln time.
Removed the front windshield to install trim clips, they a push on type and was very happy to find them in my box of parts.

Was trying to fabricate the missing dash insert but gave up. Made contact with a Lincoln specialist shop here in nz, he found the dash part as well as the headliner trim through a parts guy in California. $200 US parts and $175 freight. Arrived this week, my nephew bringing it to me next week.

Got my dash insert panel and headliner trim from the USA.

Deciding whether or not to put a dash speaker in. Don’t have a factory radio.

Tony, I imagine it will be easier to put a speaker in now, planning for the day when you do find a radio.

They can still be found here relatively easily, but I'm sure that's not the case in Oz. Shipping would probably cost more than the radio.
