I encourage repairing and using your parking brake. I drove a stick for about 20 years and it became a habit.

Usually, it's just a seized cable and and adjustment. Cables are available either aftermarket or custom (from InlineTube.com if you send them your original) for reasonable prices.

Update: new vacuum modulator in, transmission now responsive!!
