Convertible top out of sequence

My 66 continental convertible top is out of sequence. When I hit the top down switch, the top begins to go down before the deck unlocks. In addition, during the top up cycle, I have to pull the back window forward on the driver side in order to get the lever to move in front of the pin so the top hits the header evenly. Anybody have any ideas?

A rebuilt upper back panel switch fixed the out of sequence issue. Still wrestling with finger behind the pin issue on the drivers side
