Recent Spammer for passports and stuff...

Post by Dan Szwarc »

Thanks for the PMs. He has been eradicated and all his posts.

Our defenses are quite strong. It takes a human to break through. No bots have attacked in over 5 years.

Once they have an account registered, it is possible to spam the site.

If you remember the registration process, it’s not obvious.

The challenge process you have in place for registrations seems pretty robust. I agree with you that it would take a human to obtain a registration. But once that's done, a simple copy and paste into all kinds of the forums sections wouldn't take that long to saturate. What gets me curious is why all the repeat posts? It's not like posting the same spam on multiple sites, It's just one site and putting it into all the various boards is a waste of time even for a spammer. It's almost more like a vendetta attack on this particular forum?
