The base is very square. It conforms to a frame-like boss in the body and curves around the bottom slightly. I powdercoated the bracket that holds the boot on, but ended up reusing the boot as is. Don't have any good pics, though.

I found (4)(which is how many are used on the car) NOS stock FoMoCo ones at NOS Only for $20 shipped.

Post pics. 60s Lincolns only need one. You must be thinking of bellcrank seals.

They are bellcrank seals. The MPC lists them as boot accelerator shaft C1VV 9A873-B. Whats weird is that when I emailed NOS Only, they replied they had C1VV 9A873-D/N.

I took a chance and ordered them anyways. When I got the parts, they have Ford parts stickers on them stating that they are C1VV 9A873 B, which obviously is what I was looking for. On the invoice they sent me, it states (4) C1VV 9A873 D/N.

Either way, I got what I wanted. Problem solved.

Share the wealth, man! I want to get one of those--does that company still have some? What's the contact info, and what payment methods do they take? I want to order one for Frankenstein (maybe two if I can, for good measure). Even if it will be still two years before I can put it on, at least I'll have them.

I made my own bellcrank seals using vinyl caps and a hole punch. They sealed tightly against the round ends and against the bellcrank pivot.

Not sure what size they were, but you can measure the OD of your bellcrank and buy the right ones.

Here's some on ebay.

I pulled mine the other day when I removed the throttle pedal to install new carpet and found the channel in the body filled with sand and oil. You definitely want that boot in there.

I'm going to find a substitute.

Yeah, looks like Lincoln Land wants $95 for a new boot...

I purchased a replacement boot from Lincoln Land years ago and it melted from the heat of the exhaust pipe. The replacements are flimsy and not worth the money.

I never replaced it and just covered the hole with some sheet vinyl to keep it clean. The fix is on the list though...

Thats a simple fix that didn't occur to me. With the right sized hole, it would be a sliding seal.

I have sheet rubber that could easily do this.

Mustange boots work well too. I think the 67-69 one is longer than the previous years. Its rounded in the back but with some contact cement and a rubber sheet you can square it up back and make it fit nicely.

I'll get pics.
