My Lincoln Continental Town Car 1980 (From France)

Post by Will Frenchie »

Hello, my name is Wilfried, I'm french. I leave in the west of france at 1h of Bordeaux (wine), and 40 minutes of Cognac, in a small village with my wife. It's in the departement of Charente. i'm 30 years old and I'm a truck driver. I'm so sorry, but my english is bad, and i translate any word with a traductor.
I had buy My lincoln Continental in november 2011.
It was buy by the first owner, in Andorra, it's for this reason, the speedometer is in kilometers, not in miles. She's 40 000 kms certifiate (25 000 miles). I'm the third owner. The second buy this car in 1986 at 15 000 kms.
She was never renewed, and she is in a very good condition. all equipements are ok. and no rust ! I have only do a revision of all the fluid and any parts, that's all. :) She's got the V8 ford 351 Ci.

Now any photos

Bienvenue!

For non french speakers (or readers lol)...i said that there might be a few forum memebers that might help with some oddball translations for some of the tecnical names, or names that dont translate well from english...

And hey..might give me a change to brush up on my french..its been sooo long since i needed to write it or read it..you forget these things if you dont do them..

And its NOT like riding a bike lol

Merci pour vos messages de bienvenue/ thanks for your welcome's messages.
Content de voir qu'il y a des gens qui parlent français, mais je parlerais du mieux que je peux en anglais, même pour les termes technique./Satisfied to see that there are people who speak French, but I would speak of best that I can in English, even for the technical terms.

Cool car. I have never seen one without the lower bodyside color-keyed moldings, but perhaps this was common on exported models. Your rear tires (with the wider whitewall) appear to be the originals that came from the factory. Also, in the States, we could only get the 351 V8 as an option in 1980....which makes that year interesting to me. However, I do think the 351 was available as an option for a few more years after 1980 on exported cars (for whatever reason).
