Moon Finned Valve Covers !!!

This area is for those who need help modernizing their Lincoln for purposes other than strict restoration. Such questions can be about adding an electric fuel pump, adding fuel injection, boosting horsepower or gas mileage, or tightening or lowering the suspension. Body customizing and chopping can also be here (although this practice is not encouraged by the LCOC).

They did not forget about you. I should have updated but what MoonEyes said March 26th was that they will be ready either at the end of last week or this week. If we do not hear anything by this Friday the 9th we need to ask for another update. They are taking their time but its to be expected since this is a small order of only 30 sets from my knowledge. Stick it out; they should be contacting us by the end of the week and hopefully shipping them too! You will get an email.

I got my email a few minutes ago. They noted that you do NOT have to use the hold down supports. You will also have to use allen or button head fasteners as the stock bolts are to big to clear their thick casting. I think they look great, cant wait to get them.

If you ordered, they should have contacted you with what you wanted. Once you paid, they send them out. Everyone should have them by Monday/Tuesday who paid when they first contacted us.

They are very nice. Use chrome-plated allen-head screws and the installation will be beautiful.

Also use stainless flat ground washers so that the head of the fastener will not gall the cover material. It would also help to use studs (ARP) over cap screws with a 12pt retaining nut.

If the rocker cover fasteners loosen frequently, consider this-

Just got an email from them. They did have some 'pitting' on some of the covers but said they would know later today? this week? how the next batch turned out and get in contact with me. I have not received an invoice yet to pay (I have asked for one). Guess i was one of the unlucky ones that was lower on the list. Still waiting patiently.
