That there is NO EXTERIOR DIFFERENCE between a 78 and 79....

Any Lincoln fact related question can be posted here. Questions such as how many Contintenal convertibles were produced in MY1965? How much was the Town Car option in 1969? What size of tire was standard on a 1953 Premiere? or Does the Mark II retractible prototype still exist?

That there is NO EXTERIOR DIFFERENCE between a 78 and 79....

Post by chuckie »

...TOWNCAR? I can't see a single thing that is different in the grille, or lamps, or even small details like the top or side trims. There may be differences in colors offered and interior styles and material choices, but it's the exterior I'm curious about.

So, do you know of any exterior differences between a 1978 and 1979 Lincoln Towncar and coupe? I say they are the same, so true or false?

Thanks and PEACE!

False.

The rear quarter trim on models equipped with lower beltline molding was actaully about 1.5 inches shorter in 1979 versus 1978.
