Re: The term "Sport"
Indeed! And then there's the British term, "shooting brake" what the hell is that? It seems to refer to a Limey woody station wagon but what makes it a shooting brake? Then there's the Citroen DS wagon which some people call the Safari, others call it a "Break" Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!

Re: The term "Sport"
Shooting brake is a classic term and refers to a specific vehicle shape, but has evolved over time.
So there.Shooting-brake originated as an early 19th century British term[1] for a vehicle used to carry shooting parties with their equipment and game. The term brake was initially a chassis used to break in horses — and was subsequently used to describe a motorized vehicle.

Re: The term "Sport"
What i find confusing is the difference or the lack of it now (which wasnt the case decades past) between Sport and Muscle car. The Camaro is or isnt a Sports car? I have no clue anymore, but the new one definitely will not be muscle. Small and fast, which is cool but a muscle car it will not make.
And then my CV Sport... its "quick" but by no means a sport or even sporty car LOL.
Damn you marketing gods and your insane semantics!

Re: The term "Sport"
What you have there is a muscle car. Sports cars ride bumpy, leak oil, leak rain and have numerous electrical failures. Thinking of English cars here.

Rob, the one in my life was the awful shade of green with a black plaid interior and the smallest engine used in them with an automatic. I have no doubt there were some faster ones : )
