Door personalization

If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

Mine were made out of a plastic or resin which appeared to be a similar color and thickness WRT the originals.
These were made up in the early eighties, also.

Sounds like those plaques would make a nice national or regional project if someone could be found to reproduce them at a reasonable cost. 8)

I'd love to find some B, G and W initials for our '77.

Hey Barry,

It's obviously been a few years but back when you and I went to the "Barn" for a couple of cruises there was a vendor that had a bunch of those. I don't recall his business name or anything but I'm sure someone out there has them.

Hope you and the gang are well,
Off to D.C. tomorrow. :smt006

Barry, maybe you can have a trophy or sign shop engrave the initials onto thin pieces of metal and glue them onto the existing plate.

On the off chance of Ford still supplying the letters I contacted them only to get back a reply that they had stopped this program a few years earlier

I'm sure Ford quit taking orders for these long, long ago, as they were not offered after '80/'81 or so (at least, the '80+ owner's manual no longer had the printed order form in the back).

The door badge initials were just black glossy tiles with white/silver lettering. The lettering was not raised or engraved--maybe under a layer of clear or something? Surely an easily home-crafted reproduction could be devised.

Here is a picture of one on one of my cars, you might be able to take it somewhere and have it duplicated, if you need a better picture let me know and I will take it.

An engraver would probably have a similar font. Thanks.

I have a set of pitted examples from my 75 Town Car. Want one to find a place to make replicas?
The letters should be easy to make. It's the holder that is more unique.

I'd be interested in a set for my car.

Anybody ever find a source for these letters? My son is looking for replacements for his Mark V.
