Greetings,
I am in desperate need of an ABS Module for a 2003 Kitty Hawk Lincoln Aviator with traction control and Individual Vehicle Dynamics (IVD). The 2003 model can only use one of 2 part numbers for the ABS Module. I have been to numerous Pick-Your-Part locations and spent $1000's in wrong parts and return shipping. The part numbers are:
3C5Z 2B373 CB or 4C5Z 2B374 CA
The ECU won't recognize any other part numbers. Any assistance finding one of these two part numbers will be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2003 Aviator ABS Module
I’d love to help but 2003 is a little too new for this forum.
Our members expertise end around 1995. Mine ends at 1979.
What little I do know of that many newer modules may require programming to work, new, used, or otherwise.
Is your dealer no help? At least you have part numbers.

Re: 2003 Aviator ABS Module
I work on cars for a living so maybe I can help. I have worked on a lot of those Explorers with the 4.0 and the 5R55S and I really hate them!
What makes you for certain the ABS module is actually bad? Do you have an actual tech level scanner that can access codes beyond simple PXXXX codes and read live data? Are you certain the issue is not ground related?
Typically if the ABS module is bad it happens due to broken soldered joints on the circuit board. The best thing to do is have the module rebuilt. I Typically use www.myairbags.com for all module needs. They will return the module ready to be installed with no additional programming necessary.

Thats the real trick to life. I use to pay for the shop version on that monthly but I hardly ever used it. now if I really need information I just buy a short access version specifically for the vehicle I am struggling with. But there you can get access to the diagnostic trees for each DTC and get access to all the exploded views to include repair procedures.
In reality though if you don't have an actual scanner you won't be able to diagnose any real problems and you will just be throwing parts at it.
