They're already Low, Why drop them lower

If it is Lincoln-related and doesn't seem to fall in the other categories or you just can't figure out where to put it, put it here!

I could NOT find ground clearance measurement data for any of these cars.

Rick
Rick, then you need one of these obscure books. Great for comparing different models of the same year. All sorts of dimensions, including overhangs, max. ramp angle, etc, etc.

The ‘61 has 5.6” clearance, limited by the exhaust.

Thanks, Lee

Wow. Very interesting stuff.

The '61 Imperial was 227 inches long (a full 15 inches longer than my Lincoln) whereas the Cadillac came off the line at 222 inches. That year's Meteor was 2 inches longer than the (compact car) Continental.

It was also very interesting reading the comparison between the '61 Ford Fairlane 500 and the '61 Continental....... only because the '61 Fairlane was the only new car my Dad ever bought. My family bought the 1961 with a 6 cylinder engine and then privately sold our black 1956 Ford Fairlane 500 that had been optioned by the original owner with a Thunderbird V8 (302cu in???) I remember riding home that first night with my patents and realizing I could lean forward and look straight up through the windshield at the stars

I immediately jumped on Ebay and found an identical Lester-Steel copy of your book for $131 US dollars plus a black copy that covered the same years as yours does plus 1915-1942 for $257.28

Rather than shell out enough Canadian Dollars to buy my own copy (and then not eat for a week)...... I'm planning on asking you to look up info for me when I need it :) :)

They’re not low. They’re short.
