Too true. And it pained me that when I did some Lincoln vids, it just didnt get enough traction. Posting here is easier, and what too many dont realize is that a forum is organized. A YT channel may have playlists but repair jobs can include electric, drive train and whatever you may be doing that day. So finding that one video you saw 3 years ago, thats what you need today, is near impossible.

Not so for a forum. I have been trying to steer people here (one new potential user, who may already be here has a 73 Sedan from Slovenia). But, its not spring with one flower. Either way, if you ever need to charge money, Im ok with that.

I am the new owner of a 1979 Mark V Collectors Series and I find this forum to be a wealth of information and knowledge. Thanks to everyone here!

I am going to chime in on this conversation that went off the topic from Re; Registration Rule to reduce spammers and bots and went to The Attack or Defense of this forum. I have only been here since 2017, not long. I have always been treated with respect, even when the purists have to take extra meds because they watched my wife's vid on my Rez'nental. Facebook groups are just that. Groups. i have joined those groups, just to turn around and un-follow those same groups. It seems the FB groups are driven by people with something to sell ya. These people tell you to get rid of the Boatanchor430MEL, buy it from you, then turn around and sell the parts to others. They cater to places like Devious Customs and if you make a honest, negative comment about one of these places, the fight is on. What is this forum selling you? How is this forum trying to sway your opinion? It isn't. The Forum is a wealth of info that even the FB groups come to reference. Are forums a thing of the past, maybe. Will I continue to come here and make a yearly donation, yes. I could easily do without all the Social Media groups, but could not continue to deal with my Continental without the wealth of info from this Forum. Dan has to deal with keeping this site running. There is time and effort that Dan puts into keeping this going. Social media groups don't have to put a continual effort into a group site to keep it going. The Social media platform does that for ya. I for one am here to stay. Oh, and welcome Mikeb79. Make a donation, download your shop manual/owners manual that is specific to your year and start posting pics for us to see!
