Re: Continental Raptor!!!!! Crap, no suicide doors.
Apparently the death of internal combustion at Ford has been greatly exaggerated.

They made about 230 of them. People don't care about large sedans anymore since you can buy a full size SUV at the same price point. Cars have been on the way out in America for the last 20 years.Dan Szwarc wrote: ↑Sat Apr 01, 2023 6:10 pm Whatever happened to those specially commissioned suicide door Continentals? Where are they?

Re: Continental Raptor!!!!! Crap, no suicide doors.
Doh! I stopped reading when it it was clear I had no interest in it (1st paragraph).
Edit: Years ago, I really felt an interest and brand loyalty to Ford products. But with the speed that they seem to be pushing us all into EV’s, and all but abandoning traditional passenger cars, I guess I’ll just have to love their history.
I’m just afraid I’ll turn on a Lincoln commercial one day, and instead of Matthew McConaughey, it’ll be Dylan Mulvaney behind the wheel.

I'm not totally sure of this, but if they still make the clap-door version (sorry, but "suicide" is long since obsolete) of Continental, they make them for Chi-Comms. I know that Ford still markets cars in Red-China, the Continental being one of them, while they try to force an imperfect techno transition on American suckers.

Clap-door sounds like an STD.
Opera doors sounds like the fat lady has sung.
French doors is reasonable. I have a set on my house.
Suicide doors is non-pc.
Rear-opening doors is descriptive.
Barn doors? Nahh....
Center-opening doors includes the fronts.
