70-71 Mark III steering wheel center

Post by LithiumCobalt »

Looking for an excellent used or NOS steering wheel center for 70-71 Mark III in black. The one on my car has a broken mounting stud. Photo credit to Brian Smitsky.

I bought one of these to fit my 70 Merc from eBay. It’s exactly the same except for the logo.

I have to repaint it to match mine (brown to black). Are you sure you can reglue the post with superglue and baking soda to fix the old one? It’s amazingly strong. Otherwise, good luck!

Have never tried the baking soda and super glue trick. It’s worth a try though!

I have used the baking soda and Super Glue trick on several old plastic car parts and it works and is very strong.

Found one. Jim had a NOS one in the hoard.
