In answer to your new questions, the actual finish of the sheetmetal is typical of cold rolled sheet metal, it is fairly smooth. The quality of all, or most all, of the modifications are first rate. It's no butcher job, but there might be an explanation for that. There are not any hand formed parts on my car, at least that I can tell, but their intentions were to make many of these cars, and because of that they probably tooled-up for it. Your car was a one-off, so it would have been cost preventative to build tooling when something could be improvised by hand. In all, they built 297 Limousines and Town Cars (and they intended on many more).
Now, one place where there is an unusual modification is the seat frame that I have mentioned before. It is out of some other car, the feet have been shortened and brazed back on, and there was no effort made to dress it up. Granted, it is still near impossible to see even looking under the seat, but the flux from the brazing is still on there and everything. They didn't even attempt to hit it with a wire brush. But, then again, this is part of the reason that I think mine is the first one and is a mock-up, the later ones had two-way power and a different frame. Mr. Sears said that this would not be an unusual method to get a car worked out the first time around, but that he couldn't remember what they did specifically to my car. He is hoping that the information I sent him will jog his memory and that he will be able to find some documentation.
