'69 Mark III (11-68 production) Trunk carpet color
I'm going to get a new trunk liner set for my 11-68 built Mark III, but the two color choices are Charcoal and Smoke. Honestly i have no idea what the difference is. Does anyone recall if the Mark's carpets were either made darker in later years, or lighter. I dont think the carpet was keyed to the color of the car, but i think they much have changed it at some point in the run. THANKS ed

I’d go to Jim Wallace of Leather Restorations. He will make a set for you exact as original. Then, there is no question it would be correct.

I am assuming there is not trunk carpet in yours?
This shot is of my March 1970 built 1970 Mark III. This shot was taken when I bought it in 2014. I assume it is original as the vehicle was fairly well cared for. (BTW the jack is not original)
I would call that charcoal, but what do I know?
If you are buying, I would also assume the seller would know what they are selling and the variations. Sadly many sellers don;t know what they are selling only something about it and not the whole story.

Re: '69 Mark III (11-68 production) Trunk carpet color
There is carpet in mine but i cant see pics of the sellers samples. There is carpet in mine but old and dirty...I can say that your carpet does look darker than mine. When i go back down to see the car I'll have to get a good look at mine and by comparing it to your photo i will definietly be able to make a choice, so thanks for the pic!!
