I'm trying to get the number 1 bow panel cover off to do some work on the top lock switches and hooks. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to get to the 5 screws that are between the top and the bow? These are the screws that are up inside the car between the top and the bow, not the 7 screws facing the windshield frame. Very tight space, Philips head screws, can't get a screw driver in there because of the top.
If anyone has done this and has any tricks or tips, or a tool that would work, please let me know.

Use a stubby Philips #2 bit, like for a magnetic screwdriver and a ratcheting 1/4” wrench. Position the top about 2 feet above the windshield header and carefully undo each screw using one hand to hold the bit and the other to turn the ratchet/wrench. Takes a while. The tighter the top, the harder it is.

If this screws across the front are removed you can bend it down and have a enough room to get to the switches, etc. If the top is it mid point (straight up in the air) You can remove the other screws with a very stubby Phillips screwdriver. Whoever designed this should be shot. They finally learned and in 66-7 the screws were readily accessible.

If it's any consolation, John, he's probably dead by now.
