I just saw this thread, old as it is. I must say, even though it clearly has a '50s look to it, it still looked a lot classier than that year Eldo-Brougham. It might have been quite a seller, even though the flash-recession of that year hit all American makes hard (except for George Romney's Ramblers). It certainly would have made the Edsel of that year the craziest-looking car in Ford's lineup--as it actually was, the '58 Edsel looked conservative in styling compared to the '58 Lincoln.
Not that I'm hatin', I'm just stating a fact. Seeing a '58 is cool, especially if it's a Mark III model. But its time is easy to identify.
