64 Lincoln Continental Convertible
After picking up car in December I started right away determining who are the resources for help and parts. I must say this forum has it all.
The seller had no time to restore and was burn by someone helping them.
Here is what I noticed right away with car.
Window switches bad shape (they are in process of being rebuilt)
Convertible top leaking and not working correctly( Replace lines and had John Brewer test and rebuild all switches)
Hard starting
Replaced points with Pertronix ignition module and coil replace the 2 port fuel pump with 3 port as it should be. Also replace all battery cables.
Starts great now.
Shifter leaver very loose ( Bought the bushing to correct issue)
Interior
Leather is cracked and faded but not torn. I will be buying the covers from Jim but right now I want to just drive. So I decided to try the Leather World Technologies leather restore and dye kit.

Re: 64 Lincoln Continential Project
Let the fun begin. I started with a car the drove and wanted to check and make sure the timing gears where not nylon and now over year later I am still restoring the car with the engine out and the list keep growing.

Progress for leather restore and dye.
I am slow getting this done. Front seat will be big challenge. It is worse shape.
I am restoring at this time but will eventually completely recover when I send car to paint end of year.
