Thanks guys! I was able to paint the engine today and I hope to get a lot of parts back on over the weekend.

Okay, got the intake on and now trying to clean up the engine bay. I also got the distributor back on and attempted to get it in the right spot for timing. More pics to come of the bay, I hope to get that painted next weekend and get the motor in the following week.

Looks awesome! Great job. I think your motor sold me on getting the mooneyes covers. Makes a huge difference.

My buddy is coming over today to drop her in, I'll post pictures after this. My goal is to drop it in, mount to transmission, exhaust and starter.

Okay, time for an update and some questions. I was able to get the engine in finally. Took a lot of hours but we go there. I'm starting to put everything back in but read about priming the oil pump which got me concerned! I guess I made a bad assumption that I could just put it in and prime it manually pulling oil up through to the filter. Is that incorrect? If so, does anyone have advice on what I should do to prime it. Do you think I have messed anything up in the process of manually cranking the engine???

Lee, are you the one I've been answering on Facebook?? Did you get oil moving yet?

Yeah, that's me :) I'm taking it into the shop when I get back to get it all finished up.
