have u ever heard of this

Any Lincoln fact related question can be posted here. Questions such as how many Contintenal convertibles were produced in MY1965? How much was the Town Car option in 1969? What size of tire was standard on a 1953 Premiere? or Does the Mark II retractible prototype still exist?

No.

Somebody may have gone to a wrecking yard and bought a few emblems.

Yes there is; sort of.

The Mark VIII was a cross between a T-bird and a Cobra Mustang (minus the supercharger) You can make these very fast, and they look slick!

LincolnMotorsports sells CobraStar emblems for the Mark VIII (My next Lincoln) They are nice heavy chrome plated cast metal:

I love these cars. There was even a one-off "factory" supercharged version (Tasca Mark VIII)

I bought the CobraStar emblems for my '66, but don't think I'll use them, a neighbor has a 1998 Mark VIII that I am eyeballing... Then a procharger, SVT suspension, I'm all set, the best of both worlds, Fast and smooth. A personal luxury sports car!

I had two Mark VIIIs in the mid 90s and loved them... Floor em and they took off like a rocket! I saw one for 500 bucks a couple months ago with a broken suspension on craigslist but it was gone before I could buy it.. :(

The Mark VIII is so awesome. Like a personal rocketship for sure.

We had a '96 at work in Arizona, it was a long-term test vehicle. The car was sold in 2000, I didn't even try to buy it. I figured it was sort of like looking for a wife at a brothel: I didn't want something that had been driven that hard by that many people...
