Re: 1977 Dashboard Decals

Here's a link to this specific kit, you can click on "See other items" to see all of the many similar kits available for 70s Lincolns. I'd like to reproduce this kit for the 1975/76 Continentals also, with the burled pattern...let me know if any interest, please. It switched to the Majesti...

Re: 1977 Dashboard Decals

Isn't that just 3M or VVIVID vinyl wrap? If it is it would be cheaper to buy it by the foot off ebay or other online retailers. It is a 3M vinyl, their Controltac product usually used for exterior vehicle wraps, but you will not find this woodgrain pattern available. It's not a generic look-alike, ...

Re: Vanessa's Makeover - '77 Mark V

Got other things that need doing, and all I've done with this car is drive from storage to storage (heated for winter). It's exactly the same car featured here. The radio is flaking out, I'm including an NOS Quadrasonic AM/FM with 8 track, a proper factory upgrade for 77. Some flaws in the leather I...

Re: 75/76/77 Rear wheel skirts fitting on a 78?

Yes, they fit. 75/76 will have different style vinyl inserts, 77 will be the same style as 78/79.

You'll also need front and rear brackets for both sides.

Re: Vanessa's Makeover - '77 Mark V

She's back! I stayed in touch loosely with the couple that purchased Vanessa five years ago, and was contacted a couple months ago to let me know that life had changed and their Lincolns were for sale. I didn't have the cash to make a decent offer and it was decided that Vanessa and the 1940 Cabriol...

Re: Mark III Dash Pad Removal

This would have helped me a lot, even with the decent diagrams from the manual. Each post with an 11/32" nut that has to be removed from the backside of the pad is shown here with pink tape. Hope it helps someone else!

Thanks Guys - finally got it done. Not the absolutely worst job ever but I'm ok if I never need to do that again!

Mark III Dash Pad Removal

Somehow I've never removed a complete dash/instruments assembly from a car before (everything else), and just about ready to start that job on a '69 Mark III parts car. I'll have everything disconnected from it in a couple days, gauges, controls, etc.. I can see that it's all one big piece for upper...

Re: Steering Wheel - 1978 Mark V - Center Not Attached

Hello, I sent PM but doesn't look like you've seen it?

I have parts and restoration materials to fix any issues with your steering wheel or horn pad assembly.

Glad to help get it back together, and make it look new again if you like.

Re: moonroof weatherstripping

Good points, again, thank you. I have an NOS front seal as well as Jake's material here and later this weekend I'll post pictures of both. As I recall the new stuff is sealed/glued somehow around the flexible tube that forms the crush zone. The original has a thread (nylon?) sewn in. Pics later, abo...

Re: moonroof weatherstripping

Thanks for that info! I hope Jake is simply not aware of the Classique parts because he was quite emphatic with me that he's THE expert and that these rear seals are not available anywhere. Sold me quite a bit of extra material as a result. Have to say that I am one of the many people who has had ho...

Re: moonroof weatherstripping

Hi Curtis, welcome to the forum. If you use the Search feature and look for "moonroof" you'll see a thread on replacing the seals and in there is contact information for a fellow named Jack Kelley. He doesn't have the rear seals that are part of the glass assembly, says they're not availab...
