Re: 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Convertible 2DR

Thanks John: Not sure what you may have worked on but "Thank You." We did receive an offer on the Car via the listing at Hemmings. It was considerably lower than the sellers minimum so she remains for sale. I think the car is perhaps the best example that exists today which put her well a...

Re: 1951 Lincoln Cosmopolitan Convertible 2DR

I’ve seen this car many times, and actually worked on this car in my shop during one of our Lake Shore Events at our home. It is absolutely stunning, must be one of the most beautiful 1951’s you will ever find.

Re: 1977 Town Car Blower Motor Replacement

I am not very smart here.... why can't you unbolt the back part of the fender then unbolt the inner fender and drop it down on top of the tire. I would never cut a inner fender just to install a blower motor. Yep, I was thinking the same thing. Removing the right side fender liner has GOT to be eas...

bob sandercock wrote: Sun Apr 14, 2024 9:58 am Are you just looking for a tire or the rim?
I have two deep dish rims with the centre caps also.
Asking $35 each for them but shipping from Edmonton to you might be high.
Thank you for responding, but I found one here on Marketfarce.

Re: Wiper blade interference with hood?

Wrong wiper blade. Someone replaced the low profile originals with aftermarket junk. Let me see if I have an original set in my attic. If you have another 70s car you're selling, swap out the wiper blades and holders if they look flatter. THe OEMs were made from very thin stamped metal. Great info ...

Wiper blade interference with hood?

Guys my ‘77 coupe has wiper blades that strike the hood trim. The hood appears to be in hood alignment. Could modern wiper arms be of a taller profile? Anyone have this issue in the past? Archives come up with nothing. Thanks, see below.

Re: Fuse for 1977 Visor Bulbs?

the the fuse for the visor lights is INSIDE the visor, not at the fuse panel. John, I believe the earlier diagram I sent identifies the in-visor fuse as 2 amp. If you click the picture, there’s better detail. Got it and you are correct. 2 amp it is, thank you. Not sure why I missed that. 🙄

Re: Fuse for 1977 Visor Bulbs?

John, did you check your schematics to see what feeds those visors and if it splits anywhere from battery to end? It may not show the fuse rating (which should be in the owners manual), but it should make sense if you trace it out. Dan, I did t think to check the wiring diagram. I’ll do that and re...

Lee wrote: Thu Apr 11, 2024 2:49 pm It’s a bit complicated. This is from the 78 service manual, but I have no reason to doubt that they are the same.
I don’t think they are the same as the ‘77 owner’s manual does not list the visors under fuse # 7, the the fuse for the visor lights is INSIDE the visor, not at the fuse panel.

Fuse for 1977 Visor Bulbs?

Can anyone confirm that the fuse for the 1977 visor lamps is 7.5 amps? They are not listed in the owner’s manual, surprisingly, and the blown fuse I can barely read, but it LOOKS like 7 1/2.
Thanks.

That’s not my car, just showing an example of why I need.
