Re: **Updated 1/3/14** '67 Sedan Project
Good to see progress has been made during this time :-) Unfortunately, during your hiatus, I ended up selling my 6-7 to a good fella from the North. Rumor has it that his father took ownership of my convertible and has been loving it each and every day. At this time, I'm totally "lincolnless&qu...

Don't forget that many also recommend going with a high-volume pump over the stock pump.

Re: What did you do for your Lincoln today?
I installed the front door hinge spring that I bought from JAB. It took three days of 20 minute hammering sessions, but I did it! The driver's door now opens and closes with ease. I'm not following how this is a 20 minute job in that I would assume one must unbolt the door from the hinge, press out...

Well, it is always the "small stuff" that typically creates the "Big" mess.
There is a reason trouble is taken to list grades on bolts and torque specs and tolerances.

Re: 1962 - Window Regulator challenges
I posted some pictures with comments here For removal of the motor, I mount the bracket in a bench vise, pull on the regulator arm why a "friend" unbolts the motor. We carefully start to un-tension the arm. If I remember correctly, we could only rotate it so far and then attached a c-clamp...

Re: 1962 - Window Regulator challenges
Regarding the rollers and pins, I would say clean them up and then use a good white grease in the channels. Unless the wheels are deformed, they should still slide smoothly in the tracks. Now, that regulator spring system is something to RESPECT. I've done them on my 6-7 and have pictures posted her...

Re: TheLincolnForum.Net celebrates 11 years!
It was this forum and the many active members who encouraged and educated me for 2 years prior to purchasing my 6-7. For the past 7 years, you all have provided outstanding information, support and more than a few laughs. Kudos to Dan for an outstanding job administering the these past 10 years. BTW...

Re: 67' LC power everything
Honestly, the quality of the 67 is good. You don't specify if you have convertible or hardtop. The convertibles are more complex (obvious reasons) with a host of relays and switches. The window switches can be re-built, just search the forum. Likewise, you can get typically get window motors at your...

Re: Lincolns and typical value
I really appreciate this thread in that I've been contemplating selling my 67 Convertible the past couple of years. From what I have observed, most #3 to #2 cars are selling between $10-$20k. The list of potential buyers for 60's Lincoln cars appears to be a UNIQUE group. My desire to own a Lincoln ...

Rather nice shot of your HomeDepot receipt! I have a bunch of those as the past month has been consumed with a bathroom renovation. Oh yea, and I still own my 6-7....

Re: 64 front strut rod removal
Well, I typically take pictures of just about every job I perform on my Lincoln...yet, I cannot locate pictures of the strut replacement. If I recall correctly, you do need to be sure and place the bushings in proper order. As my old ones were in terrible shape, I had to do a bit of "study"...

Don't give up, keep at it and they will break loose... Keep using the pen-oil and heat treatment until it breaks loose. As for a replacement castle nut, you might find a local ACE hardware who can order the properly hardened nuts.

Re: Digital Shop Manuals Coming Soon! Help needed!
Dan, How are you "finishing" the scanned images? PDF file? I've debated scanning my 67 manual. My HP Photosmart comes with a really cool package with allows me to scan multiple pages straight to a single PDF file. While one file might sound great, I'm actually thinking a PDF for each secti...
