Re: 79 mark v window stuck

You're looking for D7LY-6523288-A. I found none on eBay and none on Rearcounter.com.

The next hope is junk yards.

Re: 75 Mark iv build vacuum question

Vacuum diagrams don’t tell you where the lines are routed.

Do you know what systems you want to disable?

This thread is only 20 years old. YouTube isn't that old.

Re: 70 mark v window stuck

I replaced this part in the early 90s on my 77 Marquis. The replacement was made of metal. That is likely the Front Door Window Channel Bracket . Is it for a 1970 Mark III or a 1977 Mark V? There is no such thing as a 1970 Mark V. Base PN is 23288 or 23289 (L or R). 77-79 Mark V is D7LY-65 23288 (or...

Re: 1979 Upper Control Arm Bushings

I own a 1978 Lincoln with a 460. I was trying to purchase an extra lower and upper control arms for both driver and passenger sides, and also a pitman arm. Did the 1978 Lincoln Continental with 460 use same control arms as the 1978 Lincoln Continental with 400? Because the compatibility charts incl...

Re: 1979 Upper Control Arm Bushings

I’m 99% sure they are the same. I’d have to check the MPC to be sure.

Re: Have you heard of any of these shops?

What kind of work are you needing on your Packard? And I thought John Cashman was a specialist! I can't imagine finding one for a Packard as vintage as yours (or any of them).

Chinese ignition module dead after <2 years? That’s a bet I’d take.

Re: 1973 Mark IV cornering lamps not illuminating

I do not appear to have 73 schematics. I have 74. Wires 379 and 380 are the feeds to the cornering lamps for each side. They come directly from the Turn, Emergency and Cornering Lamp Switch . Wire colors are P-Y and BR-W H (Brown wWhite Hash) from the TR&CL switch. Their power feeds are a single...

Re: Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition

A big reason the 2017-2020 Continental was "dead when it launched" was because the sedan market was/is pretty much dead. Around 40,000 Continentals were sold in the U.S. over four model years. Similarly, only around 40,000 2016-2020 Cadillac CT6s were sold in the U.S. over five model year...

Re: Continental 80th Anniversary Coach Door Edition

I knew the new Continental was dead when it launched. How many did they make? 30K over 4 model years?

Good thing it was a warmed-over Taurus so they didn’t lose as much designing a whole new vehicle.

Re: 1973 Mark IV cornering lamps not illuminating

Those splices under the column are awful. What’s under that electrical tape? If the wires are just twisted together, there’s your problem. But you should also check for 12V at the cornering lamp wiring when the HL are on to verify it’s not a ground problem. It could also be the wrong TS switch insta...
