Re: Replaced '71 C6 valve body - no park now

Getting desperate ;), have searched extensively but can't find how to resolve. While replacing shift shaft seal and o-ring - with the transmission in the car, on jack stands, on my back - the parking rod, which I did not know to pay attention to, fell out of place. (7D411 below) I'm now on my secon...

Re: Signature rules

The best part of this forum is the fact you don't allow pictures, life stories, and flashing clip art in the signature blocks. I can't stand reading forums where you can't figure out where the car content begins or ends.

Re: Replaced '71 C6 valve body - no park now

Is the valve body still off or did you re assemble everything? Remember the park function is the only mechanical function on an automatic transmission meaning you can fully test it before putting anything back together. The clicking you are hearing/feeling/seeing is the spring detent inside. With th...

Did you ever remove the windshield? If not I would bet it all on the cowl has rusted through and that is where the water leak stems from.

Re: To Dan

That was absolutely crazy that guy shot his car. I was digging through nonsense on here the other night and somehow ended up in a post about the Lincoln MK S. I found it to be hilarious because everyone was so excited for the release of such a POS. People were talking about how impressive the CTS Ca...

How long ago were those taken? That car is beautiful!

I have never seen pictures of your car, I was actually going to PM you and ask about it.
