Re: Brakes working crappy. Help.
a lot of times the booster doesn't need to be replaced going to disc and most commonly its because an aftermarket master cylinder is being used that doesn't bolt up to stock boosters. But since you plan on replacing everything at some point anyway that's a mute point. Without vacuum to the booster t...

Re: Accelerator (gas) pedal
There's still absorbent stuff that is for this also. And kitty litter also works. Same as Tony said- put it over the oil stain and grind it around with your foot or a block of wood.

Re: Maximum Size of inline images!
The size limits never caused issues for me here and I've always kept things simple using the forums upload for whatever image I'm sharing at whatever forum. But really it cones down to how people store their images and I don't keep much online. I do agree there are a lot of posts that are kind of us...

There are a couple useful older topics here about disc brake upgrades that have really good directions and parts list that might be worth a read.

Re: Post your best lincoln pic here.....
The plus side is unlike these old lincolns there's endless support for Mustangs around when it comes to parts and knowledge. They're probably the best car like that to get into.

Re: Second opinion. 462 rebuild?
How much has the engine run before determining it needs head gaskets? Is the milkshake the oil itself or only on surfaces from having condensation in the block for a while. Make sure it is the head gaskets and not water coming in from somewhere else. Let the condition of the engine once the heads ar...

Re: Second opinion. 462 rebuild?
Not only that, the LS engine is a slug. I don't agree with this at all.... Modern late model muscle cars are heavier, more reliable, more efficient, and much faster then any factory muscle cars of the 60s... remember the 6.0 LS engine is used in the 2500 and 3500 trucks so it makes more then enough...

Re: Discouraging Air Filter Finding
For reference the 63 air filter looks to be smaller the inside diameter is 7 1/4" but it has the same wider top to seal with the lid. It seems to fit tighter to the bottom inside lip then Lee's pictures show and the bottom of the filter makes contact with the bottom of the air cleaner the way i...

Mine has some of the ribs missing. I think it's still in decent shape otherwise. I was looking a whole back at the lack of options for it.

That's cool! I don't know what effect if any it would have on the CB antenna but you can get antenna lead extension cables on amazon and other places. Here's an example. https://www.amazon.com/BLTIATLE-Extension-Connector-Extender-Receiver/dp/B0CJCMMSD8/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_sspa?crid=32PEU1ZIS6SDZ&dib...

Re: 1966 Front Shock Absorbers
Replacement shock bushings should be easy to find they're pretty universal. But if the shocks are more then a few years old it might be better to just replace them all together since junk modern age rubber is what's inside them too.

Re: 62 replacement body panels or fiberglass parts
Replacement panels are very limited and costly. There is one or two companies that make patch panels for a couple areas but they are pricy. It's like finding parts for any other vintage car that's not a Mustang or Camaro etc...

Check local parts stores. At least they are quick to return if they don't fit. For 63 they were still around $10 each.
