Re: Moon Finned Valve Covers !!!

Jason, If it helps the cause I'll get another set. Was actually thinking about getting a set and painting the fins to switch it up a bit. Or maybe slowly building another motor with all the fixins! I've already posted mine installed but here's a pic of them nearly 5 trouble free years later, with a ...

Re: Bagged Convertibles?

Here's my ugly set up. Eventually I will make beauty panels to match the interior that will clean it up and hide as much as I can, but that's low on the priority list right now. It's worked like this for 9 years with minimal tweaks/upgrades so why mess with a good thing. 8) I've got 2 Viair 450s, 5 ...

Re: Inexpensive 15" black steelie smoothie question?

I can't help with the wheels, other than they look sweet, but I am running the Diamond Back tires on my stock wheels that I spray bombed black. I got them in '06 and they and have 3.5" whitewalls on them. I run them at 40-42psi and they ride great, and I haven't had any issues with them. Althou...

Re: ignition switch? what am I doing wrong?

Boom. That's it! When installed that little notch will be on the bottom though. I'm in San Diego, PM me if you make it down that far. We can see if I'll be around, I do a lot of traveling for work. But I gotta warn ya, I've been running this set up for nine years. It was built in the garage before y...

Re: ignition switch? what am I doing wrong?

Haha I just fixed this exact problem on my 65 today. I've been dealing with it for a couple years, i'm pretty sure my interior guy lost it whilst redoing my interior. Anyways, There's a metal wedge shaped piece that goes on the backside of the dash. You have to put ignition switch through wedge, the...

Re: Post your best lincoln pic here.....

Thanks Suicide65! Amazing isn't the word I'd use, but she does photograph well! Haha And yeah, I used trunk emblems in the seats. I wanted a little something different than the usual embroidered emblems most people do. Hard to tell in the pics, but I also have the same material I used in the dash an...

Re: Bakers Carb rebuild kit

Dan, it was the $79  rebuild kit. I was planning on matching everything like you said but I got over zealous dismantling and cleaning. :smt009 LC67Vert, I will probably do the same thing with my jets. Except for the hesitation/near stall/dead spot from a stoplight its always had, the carb has...

Re: Moon Finned Valve Covers !!!

KULTULZ: I was hoping/assuming that would be the case as far as the gaskets, but the metal shaving have me a little worried. I'm just gunna drive it til something breaks then deal with it then, I think it'll make it through the summer/SoCal carshow season, and give me a little time to find some more...

Re: Moon Finned Valve Covers !!!

Re: Moon Finned Valve Covers !!!

Spent most of the day trying to slap these babies on. :smt009 After a thorough degreaseing and scraping the top of the motor and around the heads, I pulled the old covers. Got the new cover on the passenger side done. I had to trim the gasket nubs and do some test fitting then I slapped some RTV typ...

Re: Electrical Gremlin, where to start!

Sure did, twice. I followed your post too. I bought an extra one on Ebay for the chrome parts and was going to hopefully use the best parts from both to make a super awesome one. But when I got it the contacts were in a different pattern and the three dot like connects on the resistor(big white cera...

Re: Electrical Gremlin, where to start!

Update 2: Some progress... After messing around with nearly everything, I think I've made some progress. I was chasing wires around and I was looking at my wiring diagram and I noticed that the wires going into the headlight switch on the car were different than in the diagrams. The two wires that w...
