On a side note, for you Mark V Blow Hards out there don't fill the differential fluid to the bottom of the hole. Half inch beneath is what's called for:

Re: Differential Oil Change
I asked a mechanic at my shop if it's ok if the car is jacked or should it be even when checking/filling the gear oil. He said it should be even; all four tires on the ground since that's how they designed it to run.

Re: GUYS! New Lincoln
Hey guys, I've heard that the Air Suspension but I also heard of the flaw but thanks for mentioning it anyway. A re-swap...I'll just have to think about that one because it's not out of the question. And I also heard about problems with the intake but thanks, too, for mentioning it anyway. I'll hit ...

GUYS! New Lincoln
I just bought this last month. It's a Tiara Edition 2001 Town Car with 167,500 miles. I'm the 5th owner (yeah, I know I'm the bottom feeder here). Used to be an AZ car but now it's in MN. These pictures are of when I just got done changing the fuel filter. But I have a question about the Air Suspens...

Bushings
Hey guys, Do any of you know where to buy bushings (Mark V series)? I just want to change bushings that go between the frame and the body, but I can't find them anywhere. I've looked here, too, but all I see are threads for bushings for steering and struts, etc. Are they called something specific? T...

Re: Brake Lights
Hey Action, I see the ground and I cleaned it up last year- no effect. I think I have it figured out, though. I wringed the socket(s) around in my hands and the bulb came on so loose wiring (I think) plus the there's something going on inside the socket. The metal prongs that get pushed in, as you p...

GUYS! '79 Mark V There are 4 bulbs that make up the brake lights. Two for driver; two, passenger. The driver side is good; however, the passenger side bulbs don't light up at all whether the headlights are on or not. Yet, last night I temporarily disconnected the emergency brake handle in the cab. W...

Negative Battery Cable + Other Stuff
Hey Guys, Can you tell me where the negative battery cable goes to on a 1979 Ford 400? (Not the end that goes to the battery.) Can you help me out with the other pictures? And the very last picture is a ground mesh on one of the fenders. It's shot (ditto with the other one). Anyone know if it's even...

Re: Parts Identification. 1979 400
Thank you Action. Yes some modification(s) have been done before I acquired the car and even though I took lots of pics, I'm having a little trouble with the vacuum lines, but I'll get through it. Thanks for your info.~Paul
