Re: Arlington, Virginia Lincoln dealer in the 70's and 80's

There you go, thanks. I saw a license frame from there on Ebay and I have a 1977 inaugural license plate. They look great together hanging on the wall in my office

Arlington, Virginia Lincoln dealer in the 70s and 80s

Was American Service Center in Arlington, Virginia once a Lincoln Mercury dealer? At the 1988 Democratic convention here in Atlanta I remember seeing Secret Service cars that were Colony Park wagons with ASC license frames

That's a point about it being a staged photo is a good. Wixom was served by both the Grand Trunk and the C&O

Re: Lincoln Leaving the Factory

Great photo but where was it taken? I'm seeing Mustangs and other non Lincolns in the photo. My thought is that it was taken at the Rouge and the Lincolns were trucked from Wixom.
At that point they would have been shuffled and put on to trucks and railcars going to the various distribution points

Nice seeing a Lincoln!

With the Chevrolet Suburban seemingly taking over the job as a VIP vehicle it was nice seeing a Lincoln on Remembrance/Veterans Day. The Governor General arrive at the ceremony in Ottawa in a black Continental

Struts and shocks in today's market

It's finally time to replace them on the Mariner and can't decide, Monroe or Motorcraft, maybe Sachs but who knows where those come front. Definitely want OE or better. Thanks

Re: Continentals used at Montreal EXPO 67

Excellent correction, thank you David. I saw the Remembrance Day ceremony from Ottawa on TV this morning. The Governor General arrived in an, ugh, Chevrolet Suburban. I guess the Town Car has been retired. Of course, neither can compare to when they use the carriage and travel with horse power

Something different on a Motorcraft box

I bought an oil filter and on the box there was not only "Ford Motor Company Dearborn MI 48126" there was "Ford Werke Gmbh Henry Ford Str 1 50735 Koln" I looked it up on "Google Earth" and it's interesting. The headquarters at the front reminds me of a smaller version o...
