Robin saw this on the FB page; not surprised.
2020 Lincoln Homecoming Cancelled Due to COVID-19 virus
The impact and uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus has forced cancellation of the 2020 Lincoln Homecoming, which would have celebrated the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Lincoln Motor Company in 1920.
As most of you know, automotive events—nationally, regionally and locally—have been cancelled or postponed.
Although we initially received strong registrations for this year’s event, those have tapered off in recent weeks as concern over the COVID-19 virus deepened.
The Lincoln Motor Car Foundation Homecoming committee made this decision now because it did not wish to jeopardize the health of attendees and because it did not wish to hold a less-than-stellar event. There is also the issue of financial exposure for the Foundation.
"This decision was made after long and thoughtful discussion by the leadership of the LMCF Homecoming Committee, which included our host club, the Lincoln and Continental Owners Club,” said David Schultz, LMCF Chairman. “All of us were looking forward to the centennial celebration."
Refunds will be issued for reservations made for the 2020 Lincoln Homecoming. Attendees are personally responsible for cancelling their hotel reservations.
Looking ahead, the Foundation will celebrate the Lincoln centennial in 2022, when the Ford Motor Company and its Lincoln Motor Company division celebrate Ford Motor Company’s acquisition of Lincoln in February 1922. The 2021 Lincoln Homecoming will highlight the Continental Mark II.

Think about donating some of the money that you would have spent to the Lincoln Foundation. Their expenses continue even with the museum closed.

Re: 2020 Lincoln Centennial Homecoming Aug. 6-9
It sure has become a different world, hasn't it? In addition to the LCOC and the LZOC, and a couple of local car clubs, Meg and I belong to a club made up of people who own the stupidest little campers that you can possibly imagine, but like the car clubs, this club is made up of some of the nicest people you could know. (Some day I will write something important about the kinds of people who join clubs...as a rule it is almost always people that you'd like to be with and look forward to being with) Anyway, the national "rally" of this club was to be held in the shadow of Mt Rushmore this summer, but alas, you all know the rest of the story. Hershey AACA meet in Oct. 2020 has also been cancelled. Hershey attracts car guys and gals from all over the world and I have heard that it has the largest attendance of any meet in the world.
I hope that they find a vaccine and medicine to fight this virus soon. Quite a few small businesses are closing due to the lack of customers.

That's terrible news! A huge loss to their family as well as the Lincoln community. Sincere condolences to their family and friends.
