That is a sweet station wagon! I would also take the cheezy wood sides to make the car era correct.:)

I found a little history and pictures on that cool conversion here:

Not a properly built 400. But then again, there aren't many properly built.

Usually, eBay is a pretty good place to find Lincolns customized so badly that it makes one wretch in terror.

Here's another one:
The text of the eBay auction said this:
THE LONG SHIP-TRIBUTE CAR TO ACTOR SIDNEY POITIER

This is a 1979 Lincoln Town Car that is a tribute car to the great actor Sir Sidney Poitier's movie The Long Ships, this car HAS NEVER BEEN OWNED BY SIDNEY POITIER! It is a Tribute Car to a Very Remarkable Actor and The Movie The Long Ships. Of course there were no cars in the movie as it was a period piece about the Moors and Vickings, but the 1979 Lincoln Town Car and Continentals have always been called "Boats, Ships, and Land Yatchs" so we have named this one The Long Ship.

The lower side body molding was professionally removed, putty and painted for a smoother look, muck like The Green Hornet Black Beauty Car.

This amazing Long Ship has a chrome windshield visor with stainless steel ball rivets!

And there is a huge air tank mounted and connected in the trunk to the Loudest Train Horns Known To Man!!!!

The Ball Rivet theme can be seen throughout the vehicle, mimics the armour of the Moors/Vikings and some Roman gear, chariots and weapons.

The wheels are Baccarat Ball Rims 20 Inch, like new! The lighted hood ornament is Atlas, and his World lights up amber while the car is on!

Beneath are Dragons on each side of the headlights, and the dragon eyes are wired and light up a menacing red.

The Long Ship has suicide doors, known as kissing doors, shaved with oriental spheres, adorned with black stones! This is a gorgeous car which began as a project car that we could not complete.

The Suicide Doors,Train Horns,Air Tank,Ball Rims alone are worth far more than the price of the auction. My loss, your gain!

This Long Ship has over $25,000 invested, but it has to go.

THE CAR HAS NO ENGINE IN IT!

Everything else works fine!

The car has black chrome crystal letters, and much too much to mention here. Give me a call and i will answer any questions.

A cool car to finish if you have the time, and the body work is already done, a brand new paint job, no rust! Full of chrome, very decorative, very mean looking! And remember, suicide doors!

Good luck

That Mark V wagon is very well executed and tastefully done. Beats the hell out of any Eldorado wagon conversion I have ever seen.

Here's one for the ugly books.
We are proud to present a Rare pieces of car building history. A 1972 Titan that was built by the Famous George Barris and the car was owned by Sammy Davis JR. Under the hoos is a 428 engine. Must See
I knew Sammy had a glass eye, but he must have been blind when he bought this car (if he ever did).

It's for sale here: http://www.haggleme.com/Vehicle/29085/1 ... 6310718633

These guys are idiots. Hoos? 428? Here's the pics:

I may have posted my idea for a 1961 Lincoln Continental with the breezeway top (had Ford continued it) before, but here it is again if I did.

The Breezeway just doesn't look right on a slabside. IMO. I like the lines of the stock roof too much.
