If the rain is as bad as it was yesterday, just remember hydroplaning begins at 9 times the square root of your tire pressure!!
We saw some really bad crashes!!!

I have been checking the weather and it looks like we're in for some pretty damn nice, rain-free weather. Which is good because my top leaks having huge gaps in misaligned windows and missing pieces of weatherstripping.

We just arrived at the Clarion in Florence, KY. The Lincoln was getting better gas mileage than ever before! We landed in 5h20m after driving 282 miles with 1/4 tank of gas left! We'll know for sure when we fill up, but that could be 14.9mpg!

We just saw a truck's tire explode on I-40 heading east. Last two tanks averaged 15.3mpg! We should arrive around 4PM.

Wish I was there!! Hope you all have a great time at the meet. I'll be looking forward to seeing some good pics.
Today, though, I got the convertible out, top down, for some preliminary cleaning before it and the 62 sedan get profiled by Automobile magazine later this month for an article they are doing for early 60's Lincoln convertibles!! When I sent pics of the convertible I included one of the matching sedan, and they will photograph both cars for the article. The twins score again!

Nice news about the twins, Brian. Arrived Wednesday night around 5 pm. Checked one tank of gas and averaged 14 MPG. Yes, David & I drove the car down (now don't have a heart attach, everyone....). Having a great time and the Southern Region is doing a fantastic job with the show!

The meet was a success and fun for all. I took a first place in my class, original/touring, and Sti got his crystal Emeritus bowl. We're loading up the car and getting ready to head out. Hope to be in Detroit in 12 hours or less!

Sitting in the hotel in Woostock, VA on the way home. Show was great; hats off the the 5 guys from the southern region who put this together. A great time was had by all, and if anyone didn't have a good time, it was their own damn fault! No reason not to.

Thanks again to the southern region!

Thanks, Stu! It was good to meet you and the family, and it was GREAT to finally get to see your car in person.
