I recently bought a 1965 sedan.
Occasionally, the rear doors stay locked, even after you lift the button or use the vacuum lock. Then, for no apparent reason, they work normally again.
Is there some safety feature I don't know about that is not working correctly?

Does anyone know if the '65s had the "rolling Lock" feature that was available in '69?
Once the car moves more than 8-12mph, the doors automatically lock. Since the units are vacuum operated, the device can open vacuum based on vehicle speed and leave it open. This forces the locks to close.
Perhaps yours has a slightly faulty sensing unit that is applying vacuum for too long after the vehicle stops. Otherwise, I'd suspect a faulty vacuum relay. Theya re mounted under the dash on the drivers side interior wall. Not easy to get to.
