THANX!

I knew that the early TURBO Single- Range (I still need to research this one model more as I feel -no documentation- that it was actually the MERC-O-MATIC of the period) and the newly introduced TWIN-TURBO late in the 1958 model run were (was) the early LX. I thought the LX was also used on the 58/60 MERC models as the PARKLANE (and I have since found some documentation).

I was involved in a discussion recently at SQUAREBIRDS and one poster (most knowledgeable) entered a post saying that the 59/60 BIRD 430 used the LX also. I responded (incorrectly) that both the FE and MEL BIRD used the MX. After some more technical posts, it was proven the 430 BIRD does use the LX (PBB) whereas the 352 received the MERC-O-MATIC.

Dan,

The link for Leather Restorations doesn't seem to work. Is that link correct? Are they still around? I need to start shopping for green leather for Frankenstein's front seat.

When I click on it I get a message that says it's a reported attack page, and may harm my computer. He must be having problems with hackers. Maybe someone knows his phone number.

I found this Hemming's Motor News article from February of 2006 on line. Many of the suppliers mentioned here I've heard of, but some I haven't. Does anyone know if any of these vendors are no longer in business?

Thanks Reijer. The funeral music ruins an otherwise compelling video. Much better if it is viewed with the sound turned off.

UPPER BACK PANEL LIMIT SWITCH rebuild service, top switches, window switches, upper back panel gear drive assemblies, high torque flap motors.
Also, carries parts for 60's Lincolns, especially 66 and 67.
Quick turn around and priced better than the rest.

Does anyone know where I can get a right side mirror for a 66. Seems that driving would be a lot safer with one.

Did you call every parts vendor listed above? They won't likely have one anyway.

Otherwise, eBay and parts cars. And it wasn't available in 66, only in 67-69 as an option.
And they aren't much safer because the mirror is not a concave mirror so you still see very little.

Turn your head more. Please search the forum. There are many posts regarding the rarity of the RH Mirror.

I ordered my new '70 heater core from Rock Auto on Tuesday - it was delivered today. Can't beat that service! And at $59 to my door.

I have used him and have been happy with his parts. However I haven't been able to get in contact with him for the past several months. Does anyone know if he's still in business? Thanks.

I guess I should add RockAuto. They are not Lincoln specific, but DAMN, they have damn near everything for most cars and a LOT of parts for our Lincolns, especially 70s and 80s.

I just placed an order myself for some 90 degree pre-formed heater hoses and something special. Saved 5% as usual.
