1971 Mark III resto job
Hi guys,
in fact of the bad condition of my 71 Mark III I decided restore my Baby. In october 2017 I drove my Mark III from Germany to Portugal. Why Portugal? Because in Portugal the cost per hour are less than in Germany. In Portugal I can put four men to the price of one man in Germany. This is a good argument for this 2000 km trip to Portugal.
The job to is bodywork, a paint job an some technical works. Chrome bumpers Need to be re-chromed.
I want to change the color from white (W) into dark blue metalic (X).
A hidden accident in the back is to be repaired.
I hope the Jobs will be done in june 18.

Re: 1971 Mark III resto job
Most Jobs are done.
There is an End in near future!
Lots of works have been done. Lot of rust.
I think the Color Change from White to dark blue metalic was a good Thing.
The Mark III Looks very good in "X".
In August I will pick up my Mark III in Portugal and I will drive him back to good old Germany, 2000 km.
Keep on Rocking Folks!

Love the dark blue. I just think the Mark III really suits the darker colours.
Did you do the changeover to the Sanden compressor . . . how does it perform?

Yes, I did the conversion from York to sanden. I cannot tell you yet how it works.
The car ist round about 2000km far abway from me. I tell you when I pick up the car I drive it back.
Another pay told me that the conversion works great.
The Compressor will work smoother and is much more better to service.
