Outage June 28-29, 2010

There was a bizarre server problem at my host.
We went down sometime after 7PM EDT, June 28 based on the last post.

Not sure when it was fixed, but we're back! The first post was 2:41PM, June 29.

How are those withdrawal symptoms?

To my knowledge, nothing has been lost.

So that's what happened, Dan? When I went to log on yesterday evening, I received the message: FORBIDDEN, you are denied access to [ ] server. Something like that. I have been feeling unloved ever since. No--just kidding, but it was a shock. What experiences did others have with the outage?

Glad it's been fixed.

Everyone saw the same error. From tech support:

I should have this fixed soon. I've been tracing a server issue where all the index.php files got corrupted somehow. I can pull these from the backups we have.

I have no other information except that in the 9 years this place has been running, this was a first for that error.
We've had a few, but so far, nothing too serious.
