Re: Accelerator (gas) pedal

I received this message from Todd Allen: I have done a number of these and still have the material- don’t remember where I got it and had a min order. Very easy to restore. Take off the stainless trim and polish it while off. Sand the rubber surface flat and even. I then cut out the ribbed material ...

I seem to remember Todd Allen having a way to restore the pedal.

Re: FS: Rectangular air cleaner intake snorkel tube

Let me know what you think. The air duct is long so it has to be squished way down to fit.

I'd gladly trade the data book for an engine compartment that looks like yours!

Snorkel tube

Nick, did you see my post on the Mark III Facebook page? The air duct for '70-72 Ford trucks, available at LMC truck, works for our cars. It's been so long since I've posted pictures here, that things have changed and I can't upload pics from photobucket right now. A picture of how it looks in place...

Re: 2004 Lincoln Mark X prototype to be auctioned

It belonged to my friend Jim Powers, who passed away last year. I'm heading to the Mecum auction on Thursday to see it for the last time. There are six other cars that also belonged to Jim that are being auctioned as well, including a '72 Mark IV with 2,631 original miles.

Tony, the Concours d'Lemons is held in Seaside, CA during Car Week. There is also one in Fernandina Beach FL. I've been to the one in Seaside a number of times. It's a fun show.

Re: 1955 Capri

The 1955 Lincoln Data Book would have all kinds of great info. Faxon's has one for sale through Amazon. Unfortunately it's quite pricey at $405.99. https://www.amazon.com/1955-Lincoln-Dat ... B0CFG7TRV7

I don't know what happened to the data base, but if you're a member of LCOC you can access the vehicle list on the website. There are sixty seven "61s listed there. If not a member, you can join here: https://lcoc.org/join-lcoc/

Have hang tags for 1965 Guidematic, speed control, and disc brakes. Also have AM-FM radio guide.
PM me with your e-mail so that I can send pics. For some reason, I can't upload pics here any more.

Re: I finally have an MKZ!

Looks great John! As you know, the interior color is the same as mine. Not really hard to keep clean, you just have to pay a little attention to how you treat it. If you wear jeans or dark colored clothing a lot, I would suggest using a seat cover or towel, as you could get dye transfer which is alm...

That's terrible news! A huge loss to their family as well as the Lincoln community. Sincere condolences to their family and friends.
