https://dicksterssmartpants.com/store/vacuum-to-electric-headlight-conversion-kits/lincoln/1974-lincoln-continental-mark-4-vacuum-to-electric-headlight-conversion-kit.html That's the cheapest/easiest way to fix it. If you have to rebuild the vacuum actuators you are looking at around $1,700 for the ...

Re: Vacuum hose issues
I don't think he is following this diagram properly. Screenshot_20240507_210216_Chrome.jpg I have never worked on one if these cars so I can't be 100% on this. That heater control assembly has 12 ports but it only appears to use 11. This system honestly dosen't look that complicated. Tell him to hoo...

Interesting find today...
Not a Lincoln but pretty damn close... I found this 69 T-Bird today on the Open Lane auction site (dealer wholesale auction site). Looks to be a pretty nice car based on the pictures. Crazy part of all of this is that it's at a Acura dealership meaning somebody traded this thing in!! Who trades this...

Pena Brothers Upholstery did the interior in my 55 in 2008. They are a really good shop. They are inside 410 off Bandera Rd.

Re: Second opinion. 462 rebuild?
I said muscle car not your lincoln... do a weight comparison to a 69 big block camaro, hemi Cuda, big block chevelle, SCJ mustang, etc to a 2024 Camaro/Challenger and see who the cow in the bunch is. Like I said up above the 5.3 is 325ci in a full size truck, drive the 6.2l option and it will be a d...

Re: Second opinion. 462 rebuild?
Not only that, the LS engine is a slug. I don't agree with this at all.... Modern late model muscle cars are heavier, more reliable, more efficient, and much faster then any factory muscle cars of the 60s... remember the 6.0 LS engine is used in the 2500 and 3500 trucks so it makes more then enough...

Re: Second opinion. 462 rebuild?
I am assuming you do not have the mechanical skills to pull off a LS swap on your own. I did my first LS swap in 2005 at the age of 20 back before there were kits and wiring harnesses available so I have been down this road a lot. It's honestly not worth the money unless you are one of those guys th...

Re: Accelerator (gas) pedal
This might sound crazy but hear me out lol... If you bend the tabs on the pedal bezel could you remove the plastic pieces and stainless trim from the actual metal pedal? If so I would try doing that then TIG weld a small piece of piano hinge to replace the rusted portion of the pedal. It might sound...

Re: 00 Continental performance
I think it would just take time to fab up a different exhaust. FWD v8 cars are a total nightmare building exhaust systems for because the bank 2 pipe has to go underneath the oil pan. If you could figure out a solid solution for the exhaust system you could always bolt a supercharger on that 4 valve...

https://www.christianpaulcustoms.com/shop/exterior/trunk/61-62-lincoln-continental-trunk-lid/ They also sell hoods.. don't be surprised by the price tag since you have chosen to build one of the most expensive American made project cars out there! There is a section on here Called "The Usual Su...

Re: 00 Continental performance
The main difference is when you open the hood... if you pay real close attention you will notice something dosen't look right with the engine... its mounted sideways! Lol Ok on the serious side the Cobra has a totally different exhaust, intake manifold, and performance tune. The sideways engine joke...
